James joins KVK as an associate attorney after serving dutifully as a law clerk during his graduate studies. His practice is dedicated to regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, and the corporate, transactional and real estate needs of California’s commercial cannabis industry.

James attended California Polytechnic University – Pomona, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Dedicated to a life in law, James successfully completed paralegal studies at University of California Los Angeles before heading to Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law to earn his Juris Doctorate with an emphasis on Business and Real Estate Law.

He lives by the motto, “stagnation means decline,” and believes that forward progress is always necessary in life and in business. James carries this thinking into his clients’ business needs, helping them to avoid complacency and to stay ahead of curves and competition, particularly in the daunting commercial cannabis landscape.
